I am always pleased to learn of new coding or markers, whether it have positive or negative connotations. Coding can be directly related to a specific symbol, a simple example being the "male" and "female" human outlines for restrooms, or more ambigious - and perhaps vernacular - such as gang colours.
The above are a few symbols marked by trick-or-treaters to communicate information about the home that it marked. Above, clockwise from top left: Mean dog, no one home, full-sized candy and expired/stale candy.
Were you tagged this Halloween?
Check out more great symbols here!
