Created by the students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany, The Third Space is woven from more than a million cable ties and was constructed last weekend at Designers’ Saturday in Langenthal, Switzerland.
The installation is meant as an experiment which combines the work of all three divisions the course "interior architecture": iinterior design, product design and designing in free space. The tie material is ambiguous in form, which allows its components to blend into a new, organic sculpture.
