Blend by Mieke Meijer is a humorous combination of a chair and a bed frame. I really enjoy this form and its implied multi-use, despite the fact that a chair beside a bed reminds me of illness and death (doctor/family by the bedside).

it's funny how much people's take-away from that kind of images can be. i immediately thought of too many years spent without a bedside table — when books and glasses weren't on the floor, there was usually an idle chair around to help me out! :)
